I had never thought to buy a strategy guide for WoW, or any game for that matter, until I realized that I was leveling a lot slower than I could have been. A few of my friends started playing WoW after I did and they were leveling higher than me! It was really frustrating to struggle and hobble along, so I decided to do something about it.

Initial Thoughts and Impressions
Okay, so I've never been one to use strategy guides. In fact, I always used to think that people who used them were sissies. I played through many games, like Final Fantasy VII (the best RPG ever), Dungeon Siege 2, Half Life 2, and Doom 3, without any kind of assistance. I even played EverQuest for a while, though I never played it as much as I play WoW.
When I first opened the guide I was glad to see that everything was laid out clearly in a relatively stupid-proof way. Every step that I needed to take was outlined, including items, gold, and monsters. There was literally nothing here that was left out, and as I started playing it became evident- even the names of the NPC's were included.
Following the Strategy
Okay, everything is good and fine, right? I continued to play, following the guide step for step, and I was leveling at a ridiculous rate. I was flying through the levels, and before I knew it I was at level 37! The characters that I had been playing for weeks were in the mid-40s, and yet here I was after playing for only 3 days sitting at level 37. The feeling was unreal, and though it made me feel kind of goofy for taking so long with my other characters, it was amazing just the same.
I kept thinking to myself that something was bound to come up and change my progress, but as long as I followed the guide nothing did. I went off course a bit and started grinding some areas that I shouldn't have, but as soon as I started following the guide again I was right back on track. It's kind of weird to see how much detail has been put into this guide, but then again, I'm not surprised given Spugnort's reputation for reliability (I did a bit of background research before I bought).

Conclusion
Is this guide right for everyone? No, I don't think it is. This guide is meant for people that really want to level and enjoy the game. If you're just sitting around doing nothing I wouldn't bother buying it, but if you're looking to really skyrocket your progress you know what you need to do.
